Tortillas made from regeneratively grown wheat. Disrupting the current farming system and rehabilitating the soil.
That’s why we’re so proud to be working with our mates over at Masafina.
Masafina supply our unbelievably good tortillas from their tortilleria in Acton, London. These unique tortillas are made using founder Andrea’s great-grandmother’s recipe from Sonora, Northern Mexico. Each made like she used to in her kitchen: rolled thin, soft and full of flavour. Even though our tacos are far from traditional we felt it was important that at their core was a celebration of Mexican tradition and taste.
So why are their tortillas so good?
Completely natural:
The tortillas are made from just four ingredients: wheat flour, water, fat and sea salt. That’s it.
Rebellious, like us:
Masafina make tortillas from regeneratively grown wheat. This disrupts the current farming system and helps rehabilitate the soil. Even better, the wheat is grown and milled locally, just 72 miles from their tortilleria in London. Helping us to reduce our food miles and doing our bit to support future farming.
Totally unique:
Masafina are the first start-up in the UK to make proper Northern Mexican tortillas, and the first in the world to make them using regen wheat.
The taste:
It’s all in the flavour. Haven’t tried them yet? Drop by to see for yourself.
